- 2 cups All Purpose Flour 220 grams
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar 100 grams
- 1/2 cup White sugar 100 grams
- 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract 3 grams
- 1 Large Egg 50 grams
- 4 tablespoons cup Butter 60 grams
- 4 tablespoons Shortening 60 grams
- 1 teaspoon Cream of tartar 3 grams
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda 4 grams
How To Make Butter Bud Cookies?
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Shift the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt into a bowl. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter, sugar, shortening, and vanilla with a hand mixer or stand mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and beat to combine, then add the flour mixture and mix just until the cookie dough is developed.
- Using a tablespoon, spoon one cookie dough into balls and place onto a lined baking tray. Separate them about 1 1/2 inches apart.
- Slight flatten each cookie, create an indentation in the center and fill it with fruit jam.
