Ingredients & Directions


2 c Oatmeal
2 c Cracked wheat
2 c Unsweetened grape juice
2 lb Seedless raisins; chopped

2 lb Seeded raisins; chopped fine
2 lb Pitted dates; chopped fine
2 lb Walnuts; coarsely chopped
Grated rind of 3 oranges
Grated rind of 3 lemons
1 c Honey
6 tb Oil
1 tb Ground cinnamon
1 tb Ground nutmeg
1 tb Ground allspice
1/2 ts Ground cloves

Mix together oatmeal, cracked wheat and grape juice. Let stand overnight.
Add remaining ingredients. Blend thoroughly by hand.

Line loaf pans with heavy waxed paper, brush with oil. Pack mixture down
into loaf pans, a little at a time. Put heavy weight on top and let stand
at least 24 hours. Slice thin to serve. Makes 2 loaves.
