Ingredients For Chocolate Creme Brulee
- 150 grams dark Belgium chocolate
- 7 egg yolks
- 150 grams sugar
- 200 grams brown sugar
- 240 grams milk
- 720 grams heavy cream, or whipping cream
- 1 vanilla pod
Instructions For Chocolate Creme Brulee
- Melt the chocolate in a bain marine.
- In a saucepan, add the milk, cream, and split vanilla pot and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to infuse with the vanilla pod for 15 minutes.
- Add the eggs and sugar to a boil and beat until the mixture whitens.
- Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F)
- Prepare a bain-marie in a large deep baking pan by adding hot water.
- Remove the vanilla pod from the milk mixture then add the melted chocolate and return this mixture to the heat and bring to a boil stirring constantly.
- Pour the boiling milk mixture onto the egg yolks and stir using a spatula.
- Pour the cream into the ramekins. Place them onto the bain-marie.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes.
- Once the chocolate creme brulee is baked, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool and settle before serving. You can serve with some whipped cream on the top.
