Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams milk 2 cups plus 1 1/2 tablespoons
  • 50 grams granulated sugar 1/4 cup
  • 90 grams yolk From 5 large eggs
  • 1 gram vanilla bean seeds split from one pod in half and scraped

Instructions
 

  • On medium heat, add the milk, sugar, and vanilla pod in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with a whisk then incorporate them with the milk mixture stirring constantly.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and cook until the cream thickens.
  • Pour the custard into ramekins and allow to cool at room temperature for 15 minutes then place into the refrigrator for at least one hour.
