- 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and grease an 8X5 inch loaf cake pan.
Add the cornmeal, flour, sugar, and baking powder to a bowl and whisk together.
In a separate bowl stir together milk, butter, and egg.
Pour the milk mixture into the flour and stir until the dry ingredients are moistened.
Fill the loaf cake pan with the cornbread batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
