- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- ¾ cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 large egg beaten
- ½ cup chopped walnut nuts chopped
- 1 cup chopped fresh cranberries or 1/2 cup dried cranberries
Sift dry ingredients.
Cut in butter until the mixture looks like coarse cornmeal.
Combine orange juice, zest, and egg and pour into dry ingredients.
Mix just to dampen.
Fold in the walnuts nuts and cranberries.
Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
