Simple Brazilian Pão de Queijo Recipe

Simple bite size Brazilian Pão de Queijo Recipe. These traditional Brazilian Pão de Queijo cheese ball breads are super yummy and gluten free. Our Simple quick recipe for Brazilian pão de queijo is made using natural ingredients. Enjoy them hot right out your oven.

  • 250 grams tapioca flour (2 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 100 grams eggs (2 eggs beaten)
  • 115 grams unsalted butter (1/2 cup)
  • 78 grams water (1/3 cup)
  • 78 grams milk (1/3 cup)
  • 4 grams salt (3/4 teaspoon)
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit  (190 degrees Celsius).
  • In a cooking pot, add the butter, salt, water, milk and cook till it comes to a boil then remove from heat.
  • Add in the tapioca flour and garlic powder and mix using a spatula until well combined
  • Stir in both cheeses followed by the eggs and mix until well combined, the mixture will be viscous
  • Using a piping bag or small ice cream scoop, deposit small drops of the batter onto lined baking pan.
  • Place baking tray into preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes or until nicely puffed and golden
