2 1/2 c Unsifted whole-wheat flour
3/4 c Unsifted all-purpose flour
1/4 c Sugar
1 tb Wheat germ
2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1/4 c (1/2 stick) butter
1 3/4 c Buttermilk

Just a few recipes from Country Living I downloaded and wanted to share.

1. Heat oven to 400’E Grease a 9- by 5- by 3-inch loaf pan.

2. In large bowl, combine flours, sugar, wheat germ, baking soda, and salt.
With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles
coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk and mix lightly with fork just until mixture
clings together and forms a soft dough; do not ovennix. Shape dough into an
8-inch roll and fit into greased loaf pan.

3. Bake bread 40 to 45 minutes or until browned and loaf sounds hollow when
gently tapped on top. Cool completely on wire rack before serving.
