Ingredients Creme Caramel (Crème Renversée)
- 1000 grams milk
- 250 grams sugar
- 500 grams (10 eggs)
- 1 vanilla pod (scraped)
- 100 grams caramel sauce
How To Make Crème Caramel Recipe (Crème Renversée)?
- Preheat oven to 180°C and set rack to middle position.
- Add the milk and vanilla into a pot and bring to a boil.
- Combine the eggs and the sugar into a bowl and mix together using a whisk.
- Slowly add the hot milk to the egg mixture stirring constantly.
- Pour the mixture through a strainer to remove any foam.
- Fill the bottom of the molds with caramel sauce covering the complete bottom.
- Pour the custard mixture into the mold almost to the top.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until set at the surface.
- Allow creme caramel to cool completely in the refrigerator before unmolding.
