1 Bar german’s sweet baking 3/4 c Sugar
Chocolate (4 oz) 3 tb Cornstarch
— broken up 1 c Pecans; chopped
1 c Heavy cream 1 Pie crust (9 inch)
4 tb Butter — unbaked
2 Eggs 1 1/2 c Coconut; flaked or
1 ts Vanilla extract -shredded
1/8 ts Salt Whipped cream

Preparation Time: 0:45

1. Preheat oven to 375F. In a 1-qt glass bowl, combine chocolate,
cream, and butter. Heat in a microwave on High 2 to 2 1/2 mins, or
until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, vanilla, salt, and sugar
until well blended. Whisk in cornstarch until thoroughly mixed. Whisk
egg mixture into chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in
pecans. Turn into unbaked pastry shell. Sprinkle coconut on top and,
using a knife, swirl into chocolate filling.

3. Bake 30 to 35 mins, or until almost set and golden brown. Let cool.
Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
