1 c Sugar 1/4 ts Salt
1 c Light corn syrup 1 c Semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c Butter or margarine 1 c Pecan pieces
4 Eggs; lightly beaten 1 9 inch pie crust, fitted
1/4 c Bourbon Into a deep-dish; unbaked
1 ts Vanilla extract

oven to 325? F. Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan and
cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter melts and
sugar dissolves. Cool slightly. Beat eggs, bourbon, vanilla, and salt
in a large bowl; gradually add sugar mixture, beating well with a
wire whisk. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans; pour into pastry
shell. Bake for 50 to 50 mins, or until set. Serve warm or chilled.
YIELD: one deep-dish 9-inch pie
