5 tb Butter, melted 1 ts Baking soda
1 1/2 c Sifted flour 1 ts Vinegar
3 tb Cocoa 1 c Water
1 c Sugar 1 ts Vanilla
1/2 ts Salt

Put flour, cocoa and sugar in an 8-inch square baking pan. Mix
together, add salt and baking soda and mix again. Make 3 “holes” in
the dry ingredients. Into one hole, pour the vinegar and water. Into
another hole, put the vanilla and into the third hole, the melted
butter. Mix well until quite smooth. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to
35 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Frost with a powdered sugar frosting. Use 1 cup of confectioners
sugar and began with 1 tablespoon of apple juice. Add apple juice
until you reach the desired consistency. A fudgey frosting can be
made by adding 2 teaspoons of cocoa to the confectioners sugar and
