- 2 tablespoons dry yeast
- 2 cups warm water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 6 1/2 – 7 cups white flour

- Beat in 3 cups of the flour until the mixture is smooth. Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make a firm dough. On a floured surface knead the dough for 8 – 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough into an oiled bowl, turning once to grease all sides, and let rise until double in volume.
- Divide dough into 3 pieces and form each into a round loaf. Place loaves on a greased cookie sheet. Let dough rise again until double in size, about one hour.
- Bake at 375 degrees F. for 25-30 minutes. The dough should sound hollow when tapped.
- Remove from the oven and cool on a rack.
