1/2 c Traditional sourdough
-starter
1/2 c Milk
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Flour

FRIENDSHIP CAKE
2/3 c Vegetable oil
1 c Sugar (or a little more)
3 Eggs
2 ts Vanilla
2 c Friendship starter
1 1/2 -(up to)
2 c Flour
1 1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1 1/2 ts Baking soda
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt

A while ago, someone requested the recipe for this. This recipe comes from
the “King Arthur Flour 200th Anniversary Cookbook”.

Friendship Starter: Blend well in a glass or ceramic bowl. Cover with
plastic and let it work for at least 24 hours.

Friendship Cake: Preheat oven to 350 F. Beat the oil, sugar, eggs and
vanilla until light. Add the starter and beat until smooth. Blend the dry
ingredients together and then fold into the wet mixture. Pour into a
greased Bundt pan and bake for 40-45 min.
