Ingredients & Directions


1/2 c (1 stick) sweet butter at
-room temperature
1 c Sugar
3 Eggs, slightly beaten
2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Ground cinammon
1 pn Salt
2 c Flour
2 c Chopped walnuts

-SYRUP-
2 c Honey
1 c Water

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Beat the butter and sugar with a wooden spoon. Add the eggs.

3. Stir the baking powder, cinnamon, salt and flour together and mix in
the butter mixture until soft and pliable.

4. Add the walnuts and bake in a greased loaf pan 30 to 35 minutes or
until the top is golden brown.

5. To make the syrup, boil the honey and water 5 minutes and pour over
the warm cake. Let stand 1 hour before serving.
