Ingredients & Directions


Cake
1 c Sugar
2/3 c Oil
2 Eggs
2 c Herman Starter — * see
Note
2 c All-purpose flour
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 1/2 ts Cinnamon
Topping
1 c Brown sugar, packed
4 tb Butter or margarine
1 tb Flour
1/2 ts Cinnamon

* You can use Herman starter or Friendship Sourdough starter in this
recipe.

For batter: beat sugar into oil and eggs; add starter. Combine flour,
baking powder, soda and cinnamon; add to starter mixture. Pour
batter into a lightly greased 9 by 13-inch pan.

For topping: cut together the sugar, butter, flour and cinnamon until
crumbly. Sprinkle over batter in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about
30 minutes, or until cake is golden brown and pulls away from edges
of pan. Serve warm.
