1 c Sugar
1 ts Salt
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Nutmeg
3/4 ts Ginger
1/4 ts Mace
1 c Steamed squash, strained
3 Eggs
1 c Heavy cream or evaporated
-milk
1 Pastry for 9-inch pie pan

Add sugar, salt and spices to squash and mix thoroughly. Beat eggs,
add cream and mix with squash. Line 9-inch pie pan with pastry and
pour in squash mixture. Bake in a very hot oven (450 degrees) 10
minutes then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 40 minutes longer or
until knife inserted in the center come out clean.
